《SHOWCASE》at「恋スル工芸展」

”本展では、北陸新幹線の開業を記念して、東京・北陸にゆかりのある若手工芸作家6名をご紹介いたします。
近年、金工・陶芸・ガラスの部門において、富山・石川出身の若手作家、またこの地で技術を学んだ作家の全国的な活躍が見られます。
今回は、東京出身の漆芸作家も交え、6名の作家の作品を展示いたします。
この6名に共通しているのが、「工芸」という素材や技術、製作工程において一定の制約がある中で、自由で柔軟な発想を持ち、制作をしている点です。
瑞々しい感性と手業から1点1点生み出される作品は、私たちに驚きと新しい発見を与え日常生活に新たな視点を持たせるきっかけとなり得るでしょう。”

”To celebrate the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen, this exhibition introduces six young craft artists with connections to Tokyo and Hokuriku.
In recent years, young artists from Toyama and Ishikawa, as well as those who learned their craft in these regions, have been active nationwide in the metalwork, ceramics and glass sectors.
This year's exhibition features the work of six artists, including a lacquer craft artist from Tokyo.
The six artists have one thing in common: they work with a free and flexible mindset, despite the certain restrictions imposed by the materials, techniques and production process of the craft.
The works produced one by one from their fresh sensibility and handiwork will surprise us with new discoveries and give us a new perspective on our daily lives.”
